The Health & Safety Program provides financial assistance required to support the physical well-being of individuals, especially seniors. Specific examples of assistance include hearing aids, oral care, medication, hygiene products and sanitation services, and home modification such as installation of ramps and safety bars. This program also provides financial assistance to domestic violence shelters and Child Advocacy Centers. Child Advocacy Centers protect and care for victims of child abuse.

The Basic Needs Program provides financial assistance for food and clothing, and to secure housing and prevent eviction. Specific examples of housing assistance include rent, mortgage and utilities arrearages; and security deposits and first month’s rent to transition from shelters to stable housing.

The Growth & Opportunity Program provides assistance with barriers facing individuals and families striving to achieve self-sufficiency. Specific examples of assistance include education and job training; transportation needs such as driver’s education and car repairs; and appropriate clothing for job interviews and work. This program also provides opportunities for at-risk children and youth such as tutoring, school supplies, and summer camps; and support to Family Service Centers which help “children learn and parents earn”
