What Boards of Social Services Provide to the Community
The MASSB Foundation was formed in 2007. We are comprised entirely of volunteers who serve on local boards in each of Maryland’s 23 counties.
Each county’s board provides valuable public services which help prevent homelessness and improve self-sufficiency for vulnerable individuals and families.
Some of our collective efforts include:
Medical supplies and services to help the elderly remain in their homes;
Summer camps, school clothing and supplies for low-income children; and
Parenting, education and job placement services to help families thrive
Together, the boards provide services to thousands of Marylanders each year, thanks to the support of generous businesses and individuals who regularly donate funds and attend fundraising events.
Donors have the security of knowing that their funds are being spent locally, and with little to no overhead expense. Nearly 100% of all donations go directly to individuals and families residing within the respective county of each donor.
